The Kentucky Christian University softball team opened NCCAA World Series play last week, dropping two games by a single run each.

The first game against #1 Erskine College went eight innings with EC scoring the winning run in their half of the final stanza to win 5-4. The second game versus the Cardinals of Concordia University Ann Arbor ran a similar course as the Lady Knights were defeated in the bottom of the 7th inning as CU pushed a run across the plate to win 1-0.

With KCU officially eliminated from reaching the semi-finals, they wrapped up tournament play by taking on the Southwestern Assemblies of God University Lions on May 16. They lost, 8-1.
