In a game that saw the Knights go out to a 21-point lead, KCU worked their way through the second half to earn a 12-point win, 104-92.
Kentucky Christian made 42 of the 68 (.618) field goal attempts they put up in the game with 25 of those makes being credited with assists. KCU also converted 11-24 three-point shots they took during the game, hitting at a .458 clip.
As was the case in the women's game earlier, Welch held a 17-9 lead in made free throws for the game otherwise the final score would have been much worse.
With four players producing double-digit points, the Knights reached the 100-point plateau for the second time this season. Leading the way for KCU was Juran Ligonde with 28 points (11-17; 1-2 3-pters) and eight rebounds as well as hitting five attempts from the charity stripe.
Cole Gilliland got his first double-double of the season as he had 11 pts (5-6 fgs; 1-2 3-pters) and 11 rebounds. Having his most productive night from behind the arc, Ethan Leist hit 6-10 3-pt attempts and scored 20 total points on the night while his running mate in the back-court, Owens Crawford, dished out a game-leading eight assists. Brennan Frye had his most productive evening as he was 8-11 for 16 points.
