Kentucky Christian University traveled to the heartland of Indiana to take on the Trojans of Taylor University. After 40 minutes on the hardcourt, Taylor claimed the 92-58 victory.
TU outshot the Knights from the floor (.507-.361) but KCU did manage to hit a higher percentage from behind the arc (.361-.333). Both teams had a great night from the charity stripe as they hit 85 percent or better during the contest. The real difference in the game was the total number of shots Taylor got as the Trojans managed 14 more attempts than KCU and the higher percentage of overall makes.
The Knights were led in scoring by Owens Crawford as he connected on 8-13 shots from the floor, 3-6 from 3-point land and a perfect 2-2 from the free throw line for a total of 21 points. Also reaching double figures was Connor Maddox with his 10 pts on 3-5 shooting and two made 3pt shots. He was also 2-2 from the charity stripe. Cole Gilliland finished the night with eight points and a team-leading nine rebounds.
