The 2019 Kentucky Christian University football schedule has been released and it features four opponents that won six or more games during the 2018 season and NCAA I Morehead State University.

KCU Head Coach Corey Fipps will have his hands full during the first half of the season as the combined record from his first six games tallies 33 wins last year.

The Knights have been moved from their home in the Bluegrass Division of the Mid-South Conference to the Appalachian Division. Even with the move, there are four familiar foes on the docket as KCU will host Georgetown College (2018 / 7-3) on Week 8. The Knights dropped a 35-50 decision to the Tigers, who finished the season as the #19 team in the country. Also returning to the lineup for 2018 are the Royals of Warner University, the Point University Skyhawks, and traditional rival, the Cincinnati Christian University Golden Eagles. This rivalry extends through all sports for well over five decades.

The Knights will welcome two new opponents to their schedule as they travel to Thomas More College (Crestview Hills, KY) for the season opener and then go to St. Andrews University (Laurinburg, NC) on Week 7. Rounding out the remainder of the MSC portion of the schedule, Kentucky Christian will host Warner (9/28), Reinhardt University (10/5), Bluefield College (10/26), and Point (11/2). The balance of this year's Mid-South schedule will have the Knights traveling to the University of Pikeville (9/21), St. Andrews (10/19), Union College (11/9), and Cincinnati Christian (11/16).

NCAA I foe Morehead State will host KCU on Sept.14th and is sure to be a packed house with the schools being separated by a mere 35 miles. This is the fourth meeting between the two and the Knights are looking for their first win in the series.
