The Kentucky Christian University archery team competed at the USA Archery collegiate outdoor target nationals and came away with an amazing 6th place finish.

In a field of approximately 50 different universities from all corners of the country, with enrollments hundreds of times larger than KCU, this was an outstanding accomplishment.

For their excellence during the event, Debby Berardi, Briley Hearrin, and Sarah Purtee were named 2019 USA Archery All Americans.

Head Coach Mark Whitt said, "We finished ahead of teams like Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Texas, Ohio State, and UCLA just to name a few and did so with many underclassmen. With significant talent coming in for next year and 10 of our current athletes returning, I can't wait to see what next year will be."

Congratulations to the following medalists for their success!

Briley Hearrin, Debby Berardi, Mackenzie Evans-Schweickart: Silver medal, women's barebow team

Sarah Purtee, Kara Priddy, Karla King: Bronze medal, women's bowhunter team

Briley Hearrin, Michael Hughes: Bronze medal, barebow mixed team
