Kentucky Christian University’s Sydney Foster has been named to the NAIA Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Honorable Mention team in women’s basketball for her efforts during the 2018-19 season.
In the NAIA, Foster ranked #43 nationally in Total Scoring (464 points), #45 in Field Goal Percentage (0.461), and #46 in Offensive Rebounds/Game (2.839). She led KCU with seven double-doubles (points/rebounds) this season and her two best performances consisted of a 30 point/10 rebound game against Union College and a 28 point/14 rebound outing at Berea College.
Statistically, she averaged 15.5 ppg on 46 percent (174-372) shooting from the floor and hit on 37 percent from behind the arc (41-109). She also converted 62-83 free throw attempts for a very respectable 74 percent. By posting seven double-doubles during the season, Foster led the Lady Knights in that category while reaching double figured-scoring in 21 of 29 games played. On the glass, she led the team with just over seven rebounds per game.
