Friday’s Eastern Kentucky Conference Grido- Rama will for the first time feature scrimmages at three locations on the same night.

Fleming County will play host to Nicholas County versus East Carter at 6 p.m., followed by Fleming County-West Carter at about 8.

At Raceland, Greenup County meets Bath County at 6, followed by Raceland-Montgomery County. And at Rowan County, Lewis County and Boyd County face off at 6, with Rowan County- Russell to follow.

EKC Commissioner Gary Kidwell said the move to three fields on one night affords flexibility in the event of inclement weather.

Montgomery County hasn’t joined the conference, but the Indians needed a scrimmage and the EKC needed another team for the Grid to replace Fairview, which has left the conference for football, Kidwell said.
