The postseason is here for East Carter soccer.

Both teams, after having a successful regular season, have their sights on a regional title.

The Raiders (12-3-1) entered the postseason Monday night with the best record in the 16th Region. They were undefeated (8-0-1) against 16th Region opponents having tied Boyd County 1-1. They went into the district tournament with the number one seed.

The Raiders will rely on Ethan Miller to continue his successful season. Miller ended the regular season with 27 goals, matching last year’s season, and seven assists.

Miller scored in all but four games this season. He scored a hat trick in the last two games before the district tournament, three goals in the 7-0 win over West Carter and another three goals in the 4-3 loss to Hurricane, West Virginia.

Miller has dominated the Raiders’ offense, however, his efforts have not gone unassisted.

Newcomers Christoffer Helms-Olesen and Jacopo Valpato scored six and five goals, respectively. The Raiders ended the regular season with a total of 67 goals.
