Kentucky Christian continues its early season road journey as they traveled last week to take on the Mountaineers of Berea College. The Knights gave Berea all they could handle but in the end, the home court was the difference as BC won 107-99.
KCU shot the ball well as they posted a field goal percentage of 42.5 percent and 45.7 percent from behind the arc, making 16-35 attempts. The team only committed 12 turnovers for the game and hauled down 37 rebounds while the Knights were credited with 20 assists on 34 made field goals.
Five players reached double figures in scoring, led by Austin Robinson’s 24 pts. He shot 8-17 from the field and 4-7 on 3 pointers while also leading the team in assists with five. Also reaching double digits in scoring was Owens Crawford (16 points/4 assts), Ethan Liest (14 points/6 rebs), Juran Ligonde (13 points/8 rebs) and 10 points from Kyle Browning.
The Knights returned to the hardcourt on Tuesday as they traveled to Barbourville for a tip with No. 18 Union College.
