Following the double-overtime thriller last Monday, Kentucky Christian traveled to play the Eagles of Ashland University for an afternoon game.
Entering the game, AU boasted a 9-0 undefeated record and that, coupled with the quick turn-around from the aforementioned physically draining game versus Cincinnati Christian, spelled trouble for the Knights as they dropped a 110-56 decision to the Eagles.
KCU shot a poor .301 (22-73) from the floor including only .286 (8-28) from behind the arc as well as being out-rebounded and producing only 20 percent of the assist total of their opponent.
Owens Crawford led the Knights in scoring with 14 points on 5-9 shooting and 2-3 from three-point land. Two other Knights reach double figures as Ethan Leist and Connor Maddox had 12 points each for their afternoon’s efforts.
KCU continued their road trip by going to the heartland of Indiana and playing Taylor University (Upland, IN) last Friday.
