I would like to express a grandiose amount of gratitude to EVERYONE who helped make the 2nd Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt, in Willard a huge success!
Once again the American Legion Post 342, Willard Church of Christ, Willard Missionary Baptist Church, and the Willard Wesleyan Church came together to plan and put on the event.
However, this year we were able to get the local businesses involved as well.
A huge thank you is owed to Willard Milling, Our Country Kitchen, First National Bank of Willard, Bayes’, Andy’s Market, Mullins Pallets & Lumber, Prichard’s Septic Service, Prichard’s Excavating, Baker’s Septic Service, Hensley Pump House Inflatables, Inflatables Express, Hitchins Volunteer Fire Dept., Fun Size Photography, Friends of the Carter County Public Library, Carter County Sheriff’s Dept., and a host of individual patrons within the community.
A very special thank you goes out to all the volunteers who showed up with helping hands.
With everyone’s help we were able to provide a hot dog meal, bounce houses, approximately 10,000 filled eggs, Easter photos, an appearance by the Easter Bunny, books for all ages, hay rides, and prizes for Free to all who attended. The event was open to everyone.
We appreciate the love and support that thrives in our small town and hope to be able to continue to make this a special event for years to come.
