FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Nov. 15, 2019) – Drainage repairs on KY 773 south of Hitchins in Carter County will temporarily close part of the state highway for two days next week.
On Tuesday, Nov. 19, state highway crews will close KY 773 during work hours, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., just south of Gum Branch (mile marker 6) – between there and Crum Cemetery Road – to replace a cross drain under the highway.
On Wednesday, Nov. 20, crews will close KY 773 at Allen Road (milepoint 8.7) south of Denton from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a pipe replacement.
While the road is closed, traffic should detour using KY 1 and KY 1496 through Willard and Lawrence County.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
