Creative Expo 2019, at the Jim Everman Memorial Horse Park, Garrison Lane in Garrison, KY. The event will feature vendors of homemade, home grown, and handcrafted arts, crafts and food items from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. A children's art show display, for kids age 4 – 18, will run from 9 a.m. to noon. The Women Behind the Badge will be hosting the Carter County First Responder’s Appreciation Picnic for all Carter County First Responders and their immediate families from 2 – 7 p.m. Food and drinks will be served throughout the day so that all first responders and their families will have a chance to join us. The Picnic will be held at 2228 N. State Highway 7, Grayson.

West Carter High School Agriculture Dept./FFA are holding their annual mum sale. Flowers are available for purchase from the West Carter High School greenhouse, Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Colors are red, yellow, white, orange/bronze, and pink/lavender. Cost is $6 each. H.E.L.P. Health equipment for Local People is a new service here in Carter County. We are a non-profit group to help get gently used medical equipment recycled and in the hands of those that need it. Also to help provide needed protein supplements, and adult briefs of all sizes to those with limited insurance coverage, especially the elderly. We need donations of wheelchairs, potty chairs, shower seats, walkers, lift chairs and medical supplies. Some people can’t afford this or copay is to high. H.E.L.P.
