Holler Down the Holler Poetry Slam, Second Saturday event at the Grayson Gallery & Art Center, 301 East Third Street, Grayson, from 6 – 9 p.m. Sign up for the slam opens at 6 p.m. Competition begins at 7 p.m. Cash prizes awarded to the top three scoring poets.

Creative Expo 2019, at the Jim Everman Memorial Horse Park, Garrison Lane in Garrison, KY. The event will feature vendors of homemade, home grown, and handcrafted arts, crafts and food items from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. A children's art show display, for kids age 4 – 18, will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Funtober Fest Sponsorships

Funtober Fest 2019 is seeking sponsorship for the festival at various levels. Sponsors will have their business name listed on official programs, t-shirts, and in newspaper and radio advertisements. Available levels are Friend of Funtoberfest $25+, Bronze $50+, Silver $100+, Gold $150+, Platinum $200+, and Diamond $300 and up. Deadline for sponsorship is August 31. H.E.L.P. Health equipment for Local People is a new service here in Carter County. We are a non-profit group to help get gently used medical equipment recycled and in the hands of those that need it. Also to help provide needed protein supplements, and adult briefs of all sizes to those with limited insurance coverage, especially the elderly. We need donations of wheelchairs, potty chairs, shower seats, walkers, lift chairs and medical supplies. Some people can’t afford this or copay is to high. H.E.L.P.
