In order to combat the growing illegal usage of prescription medications in our area and to educate the community the office of Dr. Frank Lyons is sponsoring the First Annual Olive Hill Spring Cleanup.

This event includes a 5/10k run/walk as well as other entertainment to be announced soon. All proceeds will go to fund education and treatment options for illegal prescription abusers and to educate kids in our school system to try to prevent the spread of this illegal drug usage.

The race will wind through the streets of historic Olive Hill on April 12. Prizes will be given to winners in different categories and many booths and sponsors will be available to help spread the message against drug abuse.

“This is an excellent opportunity to play a major role in helping to stop the illegal usage of prescription medications. We hope that you will plan to attend and to take part in the run/walk,” said Pati Porter.

“Every participant and attendant will make a difference! We hope that you will help us to make this event a huge success!”
