GRAYSON – A Grayson man has been indicted on seven charges after police said he drove while intoxicated then struck two other motorists, causing serious physical injury to both.
Joshua Tackett, 36, was indicted by the Carter County Grand Jury recently on multiple felony charges, as well as misdemeanor and violation charges.
Tackett was indicted on two counts of first-degree assault, a class B felony punishable by 10 to 20 years incarcerated, after court records indicate he operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated and struck two other motorists, causing grave risk of death and serious physical injury.
Tackett was also indicted on the charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, a class B misdemeanor, tampering with physical evidence, a class D felony, criminal littering, a class A misdemeanor, no registration receipt, a violation, and failure to maintain required insurance, a class B misdemeanor.
Tackett was lodged at the Carter County Detention Center and remains on a $75,000 bond.
