02/08/13 — Mrs. Hazel Marlene Lunsford Logan, 77, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday afternoon, Feb. 7, 2013, in Saint Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
She was born Oct. 8, 1935, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Cecil Lunsford and Madge Abbott Lunsford.
Hazel was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Pingry and Homer Logan; one son, Richard Allen Logan; two brothers, Cecil Lunsford Jr. and Paul Earl Lunsford; and five sisters, Louise Maddix, Beatrice Abbott, Lilliam Abbott, Lucille Parker and Jenny Stone.
Hazel is survived by three sons, David Pingry of Dallas, Texas, James Logan of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Mark Logan of Olive Hill; one daughter, Connie Rozzi of Harrisburg, Penn.; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Clifford Lunsford of Lexington; and one sister, Mary Carpenter of Nicholasville. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at noon Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Junior Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Jr. O.U.A.M. in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit after 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West U.S. Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Rick Carpenter, Jack Carpenter, Don Carpenter, Al Rozzi, Nathan Carpenter, Austin Carpenter and Josh Carpenter will serve as pallbearers.
