01/18/13 — Mr. Willie Edward "Billy" Parker, 81, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 17, 2013, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
He was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Olive Hill, a son of the late Clayton Parker and the late Martha Darcus Webb Stockdale Owens.
Billy was a machinist and was of the Christian faith. He served for three years in the Ohio Defense Corps. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jason Parker; two brothers, Oris Parker and Charles Parker; and one sister, Louise Plyer.
Billy is survived by his companion of 20 years, Marrina Hignite; one son, James Edward Parker of Mansfield, Ohio; seven daughters, Cynthia Jane Tressler of Poquoson, Va., Carolyn Jane Wallace, Sharon Lynn Wallace, Melinda Kay Spiess and Ruth Parker, all of Mansfield, Pamela Sue Parker of Tonkawa, Okla., and Marcella Robin Parker of Sulphur, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; four brothers, Daniel Parker of Mansfield, John Stockdale of Olive Hill and Jerry Stockdale and Larry Stockdale, both of Haysville, Ohio; and three sisters, Betty Rogers of Woodville, Ohio, Linda Muchler of Shenandoah, Ohio, and Brenda Baker of Salina, Ohio. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Gary Sparks officiating. Burial was in the Webb Cemetery on Route 2 in Olive Hill.
Friends visited from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, and until the service hour Sunday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
