01/09/13 — Gary Lee Bowling Sr., 69, of Grayson, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 3, 1944, in Grayson, the only son of the late Louie and Mary Pauline Vanhoose Bowling.
Gary was a truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking out, bluegrass music and spending time with his grandchildren, family and his companion dog, Peppy.
His survivors include his wife of 32 years, Linda Kay Darr Bowling of Grayson; three sons, Gary Lee Bowling Jr. of Grayson, James Edward Buckmaster Jr. and John Allen Buckmaster, both of Coshocton, Ohio; seven daughters, Cindy Bowling and Sandra Gaurdinia, both of Monroe, Mich., Debra Mounts of Columbus, Ohio, Diana Slay of Cochocton, Jamie Croston, Paula Bowling and Niki Bowling, all of Grayson; two grandsons whom he raised, Tyrell Lee Bowling and Debonta C. Atkins; 21 additional grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Sunday evening, Jan. 6, 2013, at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Delmar Rogers, minister.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the service Sunday at the funeral home.
