9/10/13 — Ila Jean Adkins Rose, 57, of Olive Hill, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, in Lexington.
She was born Friday, April 4, 1956, to the late Ottis and Ella Middleton Adkins.
Ila was a homemaker and enjoyed living life to the fullest, working in her flowers, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Adkins, Glendale Adkins and Wallace "Dee" Adkins.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jerry Rose; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Mandi Rose of Morehead and Chris and Leann Rose of Olive Hill; one daughter, Jennifer Burge of Olive Hill; one brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Jane Ann Adkins of Olive Hill; six grandchildren, Kaden Rose, Kamryn Rose, Austin Burge, Hailey Rose, Grant Rose and Karsyn Rose. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Mitch Adkins and Brother Gary Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Family Cemetery on Adkins Road in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60 in Olive Hill.
Jeff Adkins, Johnny Adkins, Vernon Rose, Roy Rose, Robbie Cox and Gary Brown will serve as pallbearers.
