08/28/13 — Nellie Esther Knipp Barker Huntsman, 72, of Olive Hill, passed away Tuesday evening, Aug. 27, 2013, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
She was born Oct. 15, 1940, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Paul and Eva Barker Knipp.
Nellie was of the Baptist faith and attended the Church of Jesus Christ in Grahn. She worked at Cowdens Sewing Factory and retired from Ashland Sales. She enjoyed sewing in her spare time and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Barker; two sons, Johnny Cecil Huntsman and Charlie Wayne Binion; three daughters, Pamela Barker, Tamara Barker and Carolyn Collins; one granddaughter, Kelly Barker; and one sister, Gaythel Bryant.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Raymond Huntsman; four sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Julie Huntsman of Olive Hill, Ricky and Gail Huntsman of Grayson, Johnny Ray and Connie Barker of Olive Hill and Kenny and Teresa Binion of Olive Hill; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Ishmel Boggs and Penny and Joe Roark, all of Olive Hill; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Elbert and Lillian Knipp of Dayton, Ohio, Kenny and Rosie Knipp of Olive Hill, Gary and Patricia Knipp of Grayson and Lowell and Brenda Knipp of Olive Hill; and two sisters, Janet Roe of Grahn and Maxine Roe of Olive Hill. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother John Bradley and Brother John Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Roar Cemetery in Grahn.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, and until the service hour Friday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway 60, Olive Hill.
