08/23/2012 — Sharon "Dianne" Erskine Moore, 62, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 27, 2012, in Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va., as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born May 23, 1950, in Saint Albans, W.Va., a daughter of Mary Lunsford Lawhorn of Olive Hill and the late Ernie Erskine.
Dianne was of the Baptist faith and was employed at the Smokey Valley Truck Stop. She enjoyed cooking, reading, camping, sewing, watching CSI and especially spending time with her family.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother.
Dianne is survived by one son, Nicholas Moore of Olive Hill; two daughters, Mary Howard and Jennifer Moore, both of Olive Hill; six grandchildren, Aaron and Audrianna Middleton Howard, Hillary Howard, Natosha Barr, Dylan Moore, Brayden Moore and Brody Moore; four brothers, John Erskine and Paul Douglas Lawhorn, both of Olive Hill, and Bobby Erskine and Darrell Erskine, both of Maryland; two sisters, Laura Barker of Grayson and Angela Shaffer of Olive Hill; and the father of her children, Doug Moore of Olive Hill. She also leaves many other family members, coworkers and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
A memorial service was at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Elijah Wagoner officiating.
