11/26/13 — Cresia Lucas, 89, of Grayson, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 6, 1924, in Denton, a daughter of the late Sullivan and Maggie Bradford Glancy. She worked for many local residents as a housekeeper and was a wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Lucas; a daughter, Deloris Sparks; and 12 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by three sons, Tommy (Tina) Lucas of Olive Hill and Larry and Ricky Lucas, both of Grayson; four daughters, Patty Skaggs, Virgie Lucas and Bonnie Lucas, all of Grayson, and Rosie (Roy) Adams of Webbville; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson by Mark Rutherford, minister. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, from 6 to 9 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
