10/15/13 — Arthur Shelby Logan, 85, of Salt Lick, passed away Sunday evening, Oct. 13, 2013, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.
He was born Nov. 11, 1927, in Lewis County, a son of the late Belvin and Emily Sexton Logan.
Arthur was a member of the Flat Fork Church of God and was a construction worker and lifelong farmer. He enjoyed trapping, hunting, trading, going to church and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Betty Kilgore Logan; one daughter, Bonnie Logan Archer; and one brother, Clayton Logan.
Arthur is survived by his wife of four years, Letha Plank Logan; three sons, Ronald Logan and wife Lou, Wendell Logan and wife Glenda and Michael Logan and companion Bobbie Webb, all of Olive Hill; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold and Marcella Logan, Delmar "Junior" and Betty Logan and John and Betty Logan, all of Olive Hill; and three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lucille Jessie of Olive Hill, Minnie and Marvin Roberts of Grayson and Gracie and Paul Perick of Gary, Ind. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Eugene Rayburn and Brother Gayle Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Flat Fork Cemetery on Upper Flat Fork Road in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, and until the service hour Wednesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Wayne Logan, Travis Logan, Brandon Logan, Matt Logan, James Day, Chris Fultz, James Darrell Fultz and Scott Gilliam will serve as pallbearers.
