03/27/13 — Ms. Edna "Jeanne" Layne Molton, 69, of Olive Hill, passed away Tuesday morning, March 26, 2013, in St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
She was born July 24, 1943 in Carter County, a daughter of the late Vasco and Nannie Hurley Layne.
Jeanne was of the Baptist faith and was a self-employed hairdresser. She enjoyed cooking, listening to music, crafts and shopping on QVC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Gale Molton; six brothers, David Layne, Jack Layne, Phillip Layne, Orbey Layne, Bobby Layne and Vasco "Skip" Layne; and two sisters, Patricia Layne and Peggy Layne.
Jeanne is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Timothy Lee and Tammy Molton of Maysville, Cameron Molton and Scott Molton, both of Olive Hill, and George Daniel and Nicole Molton of Georgetown; eight grandchildren, Karla Nicole Molton Carroll, Cammi Jeanne Molton Laney, Braci Danielle Molton, Dylan Blake Molton, Derek Austin Molton, Brandon Lee Molton, Braxton Guy Molton and Chris Sloase; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Dottie Layne of Olive Hill; and three sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda and Wilson Maggard of Olive Hill, Joyce Irland of Grayson and Vivien Rainbolt of Olive Hill. She also leaves many other family members, neighbors and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with her son, Tim Molton, Brother Brent Duncan, Brother David Rayburn and Brother Allen Livingood officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Memorial Park.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, and until the service hour Thursday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Jeanne’s sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
