June 25, 2014 — Wilbur Allen Keesling, 78, of Grayson formerly of Indianapolis died at his residence Sunday, June 29 surrounded by his family. Mr. Keesling was born August 5, 1935 in Kennard, IN a son of the late William G. and Isabell Jane Darling Keesling.
He was preceded in death by his parents , a daughter, Terry Gebhart, a granddaughter, Regan Narmore, and a brother, Fredrick Keesling.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jessie; a son , Stephen (Beverly) Keesling of Indianapolis; four daughters, Lisa (Paul) Powell of Indianapolis, Pam (Kevin) Elliott of Knightstown, IN, Debra Bentley Keesling of Indianapolis, and Dora (Steve) Stern of Indianapolis; many grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Mr Keesling was a member and deacon of the Ironhill Missionary Baptist Church, and he loved helping others. He volunteered at Grayson Meals-on-Wheels. Mr Keesling worked and retired from IBM in Indianapolis.
Local visitation will be Tuesday, July 1, from 4:00-8:00pm at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 3, 1:00pm at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Home in Knightstown, IN.
Burial will follow in the Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown, IN.
