June 4, 2014 — Dallas Claxon, 64, of Kenansville, FL died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1950 in Greenup, KY; a son of the late Roy Edward Claxon Sr. and Naomi Kibbey Claxon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry, Doug, and Roy Claxon.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved showing Tennessee walking horses. He was a retired steelworker with Empire Detroit Steel of Mansfield, OH. He was a member of the Kenansville Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Carper Claxon; two brothers, Virgil Wesley Claxon of Carter City and Clyde Claxon of Garrison, a sister, Rosa Lee McCleese of Carter City,.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson by John Lybrook, minister. Burial will follow in the Kiser-McGinnis Cemetery near Kehoe.
Visitation will be Friday, June 6, 2014 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at the Sparks Funeral Home.
