12/02/13 — Jacqueline Burchett Dailey, 83, of Olive Hill, passed away Friday morning, Nov. 29, 2013, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
She was born June 24, 1930, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Benjamin Albert and Nora Garvin Burchett.
Jacqueline was retired from the Carter County School System where she taught school for 32 years and was a substitute teacher for 16 years. She was a member of the Carter County Retired Teachers Association, Kentucky Education Association and Morehead State University Alumni Association. Jacqueline was a Christian and a member of the Olive Hill Church of Nazarene. She frequently attended Garvin Ridge Wesleyan Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Webster B. Dailey; two infant brothers; and four sisters, Dovie Burchett, Opal Marie Hedge, Gladys Tackett and Ruth Ellen Coates.
Jacqueline is survived by a niece and a great-niece whom she thought of as her own, Jackie Lou Coates Burton and her husband Richard and Jacqueline Ann Burton and her husband Matthew, all of Olive Hill; and one sister and brother-in-law, Emma Jean and Ray Copeland Sr. of Ontario, Calif. She also leaves many other nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill with Brother J.C. Bond officiating. Burial will follow in the Burchett-Dailey Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, and until the service hour Thursday at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home, 145 Gearhart Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
