7/29/13 — Jewell Boggs Brown, 82, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday evening, July 25, 2013, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
She was born Oct. 2, 1930, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Lonnie and Mae Hanshaw Boggs.
Jewell was a homemaker and enjoyed sitting and talking to her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, James A. Brown; a son, Billy Brown; and a brother, John Bee Boggs.
Jewel is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Jackie Brown, Darrell and Sheila Brown, James and Diane Brown Jr., and Gary and Virginia Brown, all of Olive Hill; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Stirl and Junita Boggs, Thurl and Helen Boggs and Deck Boggs, all of Niles, Ohio, and Gene and Francis Boggs of Tennessee; and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Tince and Jack Epperheart of McDonald, Ohio, and Sue and Dominic Fuda and Darlene Boggs McWade, both of Niles, Ohio. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Clyde Holbrook officiating. Burial followed in the Brown Cemetery in Lawton.
Friends and family served as pallbearers.
