05/21/13 — Anna Marie Bennett Miles, 83, of Grayson, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013, at Community Hospice Center in Ashland.
Anna was born Sept. 14, 1929, in Buchannon, W.Va., the daughter of the late Ulysses Grant and Annie Cecil Ours Bennett.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Malcolm Miles; siblings, Harold Lloyd Bennett, Charles Joseph Bennett, Paul Bennett Jr., Harry Gordon Bennett, Jesse Victor Bennett, Irene Bennett, Carol Lee “Bill” Bennett; and her former husband, George Davis Miles.
She was a former child care provider, a food service worker at Jr. Food Mart in Grayson and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by children, Joe and Jackie Miles of Grayson, Robert Jeffrey and Brenda Miles of Morehead, Gregory Allen and Tammy Miles of Chattanooga, Tenn., Paul David and Carol Miles of Grayson, Sheila and Mike Robinson of Morehead, Loretta Jean and James M. “Mickey” Greene of Grayson and Deborah Harford of Morehead; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, May Grace White of Elkins, W.Va., Jerry Bennett of Ohio, David Carl Bennett of Elkins, W.Va., Mildred Ruth “Sis” McCoy of Elkins, W.Va., and Ulysses Grant “Bub” Bennett Jr. of Ohio; and a daughter-in-law, Dala Miles of Idaho.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook with Brother Clell Lucas and Brother Grant Sammons officiating. Burial will be in Elliott County Memory Gardens.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
