01/02/13 — Mrs. Betty Glendora Jordan Jones, 67, of Carter City, passed away Friday evening, December 21, 2012, at her residence.
She was born July 16, 1945, in Lewis County, a daughter of Alma Parker Jordan of Vanceburg and the late Millard "Jay Bird" Jordan.
Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed camping and fishing. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Queen Jordan.
Including her mother, Betty is survived by her companion, Oscar Eugene Zornes; one son, Millard "Ralphie" Jordan of Wheelersburg, Ohio; one daughter, Carla Bloomfield of Olive Hill; four grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Violet Jordan and Lowell and Rosalee Jordan, all of Vanceburg; and one sister, Sarah Katherine Sexton of Clay City. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2012, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Brother Russell Bud Burnett officiating. Burial followed in the Trace Fork Cemetery on Trace Fork in Lewis County.
Friends visited from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2012, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue, Garrison, KY 41141.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
