May 2, 2014 — Mrs. Lois Marie Flannery Brown, age 80, of Olive Hill, passed away Friday morning, May 2, 2014, at the Jo-Lin Health Center in Ironton, Ohio.
She was born Feb. 4, 1934, in Carter County, a daughter of the late James Leonard and Lona Seagraves Flannery.
Lois was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church and retired from Ashland Fabricating and Welding Company where she worked as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Glen Arnold Brown, and nine brothers, John, Leroy, Lowell Ray, Matt, Jack, Tom, Curt, Willie, and Phillip.
Lois is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, William L. and Karla Brown of Tipp City, Ohio, and Glen Mark and Shirley Brown of Olive Hill; one granddaughter, Natalie Brown; three great grandchildren, Holden, Cooper, and Delilah; one brother, Charles Flannery of Westwood; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with David Brown, Brenda Hale, and Bishop Gene Rhinehart officiating. Burial will follow in the Flannery Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
