04/08/14 — Larry Allen Stone, 66, of Olive Hill, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 6, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 16, 1947, in Elliott County, a son of the late Ray Stone and Crystal Carroll.
Larry was of the Christian faith and was self-employed. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, being around children and was an avid pool player.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Larry Michael Stone; his grandmother, Etta Stone; and his first wife, Janet Stamper Stone.
Larry is survived by his companion, Irma "Angel" Stone; one son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Debbie Stone of Brunswick, Ohio; one granddaughter, Gabrielle Stone; six brothers and two sisters-in-law, Robin Carroll and companion Teresa Burge of Olive Hill, James Stone of Olive Hill, Tom and Betty Stone of Lebanon, Ohio, Leroy and Judy Stone of Olive Hill, Ted Stone of Saint Albans, W.Va., and Bill Stone and companion Charlotte Holbrook of Olive Hill; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Zady Clevenger of Olive Hill, his twin sister Mary and Mike Fry of Napoleon, Ohio, Joy and Roger Patrick of Brunswick, Ohio, Georgine and Randy Brown of Lexington and Nancy and James Maggard of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Gayle Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Stone Cemetery in Elliott County.
Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
