02/14/14 — Charles Edward Reynolds, 74, of Smokey Creek Road in Olive Hill, passed away Tuesday morning, Feb. 11, 2014, at his residence after a very long illness.
He was born Aug. 12, 1939, in Olive Hill, a son of the late Charles Prentice and Nellie Henderson Reynolds.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He attended the Trough Camp Christian Holiness Church and was a cement finisher.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Elwood Reynolds; two sisters, Wilma Jean Akers and Garnett Callahan; and one sister-in-law, Helen Reynolds.
Charles is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ethel Kaye McFarland Reynolds; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Prentice Reynolds and James Allen and Susan Reynolds, all of Olive Hill; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lori Reynolds and Sherry and Glen Stamper, all of Olive Hill; one stepdaughter, Vickie Smith of Mansfield, Ohio; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Jim and Judy Reynolds of Olive Hill, Fred Reynolds of Olive Hill and Mike Reynolds of Maysville; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Eunice Hill of Mansfield, Ohio, Alma Wells of Mansfield, Ohio, Alberta Littleton of Columbus, Ohio, and Linda and Charlie P’Simer of Olive Hill; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill with Brother Andy Lands and Brother William Logan Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Reynolds Family Cemetery on Smokey Creek Road in Olive Hill with full military rites conducted by the Olive Hill American Legion Post No. 138.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, and until the service hour Saturday at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home, 145 Gearhart Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Brandon Reynolds, Cody Stamper, Cory McGlone, Neal Barker, John Stamper and Chuck Reynolds will serve as pallbearers. Willie Archer will serve as honorary pallbearer.
