02/06/14 — Virginia Mae Davis, 84, of Ashland, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. 

Virginia was born May 1, 1929, in Carter County, on McGlone Creek, daughter of the late Charles N. and Ada Hilger Davis.

Virginia was a member of the First Church of Christ in Grayson and attended Bridges Christian Church in Ashland. She was a member of the Arcoettes Club.

Virginia is survived by two nephews, James A. Davis of Grayson and Rudy Davis of Louisville, and two nieces, Linda Herzog of Richmond and Reta Lambert of Fallsburg.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, J. Harry Davis, Willard Isom Davis and Quentin Rudolph Davis.

Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with James Girdwood officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in McGlone Creek Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service on Friday.
