04/10/14 — Elizabeth Ann Stone, 79, of Mansfield, Ohio, died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at MedCentral Mansfield.
Born July 10, 1934, in Olive Hill, she was the daughter of James and Isabella (Bond) Stamper and stepmother, Mildred Stamper Barker.
A homemaker, she was a faithful member of Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church, where she was involved in many activities. She enjoyed working in her garden, tending to her flowers, quilting and her beloved dog, Christie. Her greatest joy was that of being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Debra (John) Hecht of Mansfield, Hertis (Linda) Stone Jr. of Ontario, Randy (Kellie) Stone of Ontario, Pamela (Brian) Stafford of Mansfield, Karen (Larry) Douhard of Mansfield and James (Shelley) Stone of Mansfield; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a sister, Faye (Tom) Shoemaker of Granite City, Ill.; a brother, Jim (Jo Ann) Stamper of Granite City, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hertis H. Stone Sr., a former pastor of Wyandotte Free Will Baptist Church; her parents; and a grandson, Ryan K. Stone.
Funeral services were Monday, March 31, 2014, at Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church in Mansfield, Ohio. Burial was in Mansfield Cemetery.
