Pamela Ruth "Pam" Jones Carroll

08/23/2012 — Mrs. Pamela Ruth "Pam" Jones Carroll, 53, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012, in Olive Hill from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born August 20, 1959, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Hersie and Nina Belle Jones Hall.

Pam was of the Baptist faith and was a registered respiratory therapist and polysomnographer at Bourbon Community Hospital. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother who opened her heart and home to many kids in the community. Pam was more to them than just a friend, she was a second mother to many. She enjoyed doing primitive crafts, playing bingo and being the best wife, mother and grandmother a husband or child could every ask for.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Valentine and Belle Jones, and a very special nephew whom she raised, Dillon "Nemo" Bryant.

Pam is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, James Carroll; her four children, Amy and Homer Davis of Olive Hill, Garrett Carroll and Kasey Greenwood of Olive Hill, Codie and Cody Plank of Morehead and Devin Carroll of Olive Hill; five grandchildren who she adored, Kelsey Davis, Adyson Davis, Adyn Davis, Gavin Carroll and Cason Carroll; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe Bob and Barb Conn of Olive Hill; and one sister, Cynthia Hall-Sackenheim and her husband Dan of Los Angeles, Calif. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2012, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Josh Bond and Brother Andy Bond officiating. Burial followed in the Home Cemetery on Clark Hill. 

Friends visited from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012, and until the service hour Sunday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill.

Mason Huff, Cody Plank, Shane Tackett, Dustin Porter, Kyle Porter, Ryan Fitchpatrick and Boyd Littleton served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were James Carroll, Garrett Carroll, Devin Carroll, Gavin Carroll, Adyn Davis and Cason Carroll.
