08/23/2012 — Mrs. Dorthy Lee Callihan Hardeman Waugh, 68, of Olive Hill, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012, at her residence.
She was born January 23, 1944, in Carter County, a daughter of Charles Callihan of Olive Hill and the late Gladys Henderson Callihan.
Dorothy was of the Christian faith and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Virgil "Buck" Waugh; one daughter, Kelly Waugh Moore; one brother, Albert Callihan; and two sisters, Lena Mae Callihan and Linda Callihan Hicks.
In addition to her father, Dorthy is survived by one daughter, Ammaarah El Amin (Glenda Rae Hardeman) of Cairo, Egypt; four grandchildren, Jacob Bradley, Lytishia Bradley, Jameelah Hardeman El Amin and Jaymie Moore; one great granddaughter, Dixie Mays; and two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Gail "Buddy" Callihan, Roy and Jennifer Callihan, and Charlene Callihan, all of Olive Hill. She also leaves many other family members, neighbors and friends who will sadly miss her.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012, at the Watson Cemetery in Olive Hill with Brother Allen Wells officiating.
Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill is in charge of all arrangements.
