Patricia Lynn "Patty" Boggs Cline

08/23/2012 — Mrs. Patricia Lynn "Patty" Boggs Cline, 72, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday morning, October 11, 2012, in the Episcopal Church Home in Louisville.

She was born August 31, 1940, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Willard W. Boggs and the late Aileen Rose Boggs Smith.

Patty was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Olive Hill. She graduated from Olive Hill High School in 1958 and from Morehead State University in 1962. Patty taught for 33 years in Carter County Public Schools with most of those years as a kindergarten teacher. She was also a member of the Olive Hill Historical Society.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, former State Representative Lowell Eugene "Gene" Cline.

Patty is survived by her three children and their spouses, Terri Cline Alderman and her husband David of Wallingford, Todd Cline and his wife Alicia of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Eric Cline and his wife Sarah of Louisville; one granddaughter, Corinne Cline of Cincinnati; a second grandchild due later this month; one sister, Marquetta Boggs Gulley and her husband Carl of Richmond, Va.; one brother-in-law, Norton Cline of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; two nephews; and her best friend and first cousin, Linda Lowe. She also leaves many other cousins, extended family members, church family, neighbors and friends who will truly miss her.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Olive Hill with Brother Matt McKenzie and Brother Bob Donovan officiating. Burial was in the Olive Hill Memorial Park.

Friends visited from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2012, and after 9 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Olive Hill, 365 East Tom T. Hall Boulevard, Olive Hill, KY 41164.

Grady Lowe, Dan Curtis, Matt Gulley, Billy Gulley, Casey Lowe and Tony Tackett served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Carl Gulley and Roger Meade.

Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill was in charge of all arrangements.
