11/05/13 — Danny Farron Parker, 55, of Olive Hill, passed away Saturday evening, Nov. 2, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 9, 1958, in Carter County, a son of the late McKinley and Nancy Lou Dean Parker.
Danny was of the Christian Holiness faith and drove a truck for Vanceburg Ready Mix. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting and spending time with his granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Parker.
Danny is survived by his wife of 15 years, Ruth Pollard Parker; two sons, Farron Johnston and Billy Parker, both of Olive Hill; one daughter, Kristi Parker and her boyfriend Justin of Vanceburg; one granddaughter, Jaylee Cottingham; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Patty Parker, Michael and June Parker and Ronnie and Brenda Parker, all of Olive Hill; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Sable Richmond of Marion, Ind., Bernice and Eugene Rayburn of Emerson, Loretta McGlone of Olive Hill and Eileen and Donald Buckler of Olive Hill; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Paul Zornes officiating. Burial will follow in the Parker Family Cemetery on Ky. 59 in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, and until the service hour Wednesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
