10/24/13 — Jay D. Stewart, 92, of Webbville, went to be with his Lord, Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born Jan. 18, 1921, in Webbville, son of the late Mack and Mae Chaffin Stewart.
Jay was an Army Veteran having served during WW II, a member of the V.F.W. Post No. 3705 of Grayson and American Legion Post No. 342 of Willard.
Jay is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Christine Gollihue Stewart; a daughter, Euthania (Ralph) Cantu of Elyria, Ohio; a sister, Ethel “Totsy” (Dale) Harwood of Olive Hill; two brothers, Mack Ray Stewart of Willard and Alden Stewart of DeSoto, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Brent Cantu of Lorain, Ohio, Shane Cantu of Lansing, Mich., and Jaret Cantu of Pittsburg, Penn.
Including his parents ,he was preceded in death by three sisters, Vervie Sowers, Merlie McDavid and Gloria Jean Perry; and a brother, Shadie Roe Stewart.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Malone Funeral Home by David Boggs. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East with Military Honors.
