Charles Larry "Bucky" Paynter


04-19-12 — Mr. Charles Larry "Bucky" Paynter, 69, of Grayson, passed away Saturday evening, December 15, 2012, in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

He was born September 22, 1943, in Carter County, a son of the late Manual Glen Paynter and the late Jerlea Carroll Paynter Ramsey.

Bucky was a musician and played with the .30/06 Band. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Glenna Jean Knipp, Donna Sue Knipp and Florrine Carroll.

Bucky is survived by his wife of 33 years, Brenda Baugh Paynter; two sons, Larry (Lesley) Tackett of Morehead and Michael (Jessi) Paynter of Olive Hill; one daughter, Alicia Paynter Meade of Grayson; seven grandchildren, Laryn, George (Katie), Billy, Sydnie, Kaylee, Pandora and Similee; two great grandchildren, Jackson and Kenli; and one sister, Joyce Conn of Olive Hill. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Dewayne Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Carroll Cemetery in Grahn.

Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, December, 18, 2012, and until the service Wednesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
