3/04/14 — Marjorie Kiser Moore, 91, of Olive Hill, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 2, 2014, at Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation in Owingsville.
She was born Dec. 18, 1922, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Harry and Lillie Debord Kiser.
Marjorie was of the Christian faith and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, doing crafts, making beads for the women in the nursing home and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Moore; two daughters, Rita Eden and Linda Duncan; two brothers, Vernon Kiser and Jay Kiser; and six sisters, Nell Bucher, June Rabourn, Helen Fees, Jackie Cotton, Phyllis Bruni and Vivian Kiser.
Marjorie is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Vivian Kiser of Waverly, Tenn.; one sister, Bonnie Cobbs of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill with Brother Allen Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the Kiser Cemetery on Bens Run in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014, and until the service hour Thursday at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home, 145 Gearhart Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
