3/04/14 — Billy Jack Middleton, 77, of Ashville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.
He was born Aug. 20, 1936, in Elliot County, to the late Kenneth and Ona Lee (Mauk) Middleton.
Billy retired from Techna Glass, the former Owens-Illinois, after 42 years. He was a member of Local Glass Bottle Blowers Association and loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronnie; and sister, Janice Mobley.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Genetta R. (Bailey) Middleton; children, Jack Middleton of Groveport, Sharon (Craig) Dyer of Thornville, Anita (Alan) Fields of Circleville, Leona Walker of Groveport and James (Laura) Middleton of New Straitsville; grandson, Billy Jack Middleton of Groveport; 16 other grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray, John Paul, Phillip, Roy and Danny Middleton, all of the Olive Hill area; numerous nieces and nephews; many special friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103, with Pastor Bryan Grove officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in New Straitsville.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
