2/26/14 — Howard Clay, 72, of Wurtland, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at his residence.
He was born June 1, 1941, at Denton, a son of the late John Stephen and Carma Bellew Clay.
Howard was the owner of Carlisle Plastics Company in New Carlisle, Ohio, and a member of the Masonic F. & A.M. No. 100 of New Carlisle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Cline Clay, and a sister, Charlotte Clay.
His survivors include his wife of 38 years, Rita Gilpin Clay of Wurtland;
two daughters, Cynthia Anne (James) Thomas of Bellbrooke, Ohio, and Tamara Sue Conley of Springfield, Ohio; one sister, Betty Bowling of Willard; two brothers, James Clay of Troy, Ohio, and Marion Clay of Taylorsville, Ga.; six grandchildren, Cassandra Clay, Brittany Scott, Chelsea Conley, Amanda Jenkins, Allison Conley and Andrew Thomas; and two great-grandchildren, Maddox Clay Flatt and Kanon Carlisle Flatt.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Tim French officiating. Masonic rites will be at 12:30 p.m. Entombment will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Saturday until service time at the funeral home.
