3/24/14 — Glenna Sue Sloane Richmond, 39, of Laurel Road in Vanceburg, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 20, 2014, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
She was born Aug. 3, 1974, in Morehead, a daughter of Glennis and Delma Jessie Sloane of Olive Hill.
Glenna attended the Dry Branch Church of God and was a homemaker. She loved being outside, taking care of animals, going shopping and spending time with her family and friends, especially her son.
In addition to her parents, Glenna is survived by her husband of 21 years, Jeff Allen Richmond; one son, Devon Richmond of Vanceburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Gene Holbrook of Olive Hill; and two nephews, Jesse Holbrook and Pacey Holbrook. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 1p.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at Dry Branch Church of God in Olive Hill with Brother Clifford Price II and Brother Gayle Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Bald Point Cemetery in Lewis County.
Friends may until 11 a.m. Monday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164. Mrs. Richmond will lie in state one hour before the service Monday at the church.
Devon Richmond, Carlos Burton Jr., Mark Burton, David Burton, Bill Bradley, Zane Pope and Danny Wilson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Samuel Stevens, Gene Holbrook, Butch Stevens and Corey Christy.
