05/02/13 — Ruby Johnson Perry, 85, mother of Brenda Cochran (Carter) Crump and widow of William Hubert Perry, died Monday, April 29, 2013, at the Hospice Care Center.
Born March 30, 1928, in Olive Hill, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Anna Wells Johnson.
Mrs. Perry was a retired seamstress for Cowden Manufacturing and a member of Lexington United Baptist Church.
Survivors, other than her daughter, include two grandchildren, Shane and Brad Cochran, both of Lexington; two great grandchildren, Brittany Cochran of Hillsboro and Liliana Washington of Lexington; one brother, June Johnson; and one sister, Edna Perry.
She was preceded in death by eight siblings, Chester, Jimmy, Johnny and Leonard Johnson, Pauline Knip, Ruth Lane, Lois Adkins and Eva Hatton.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Lexington United Baptist Church by Elder Johnny Seagraves and Elder Paul Cline. Burial followed in the Dean Family Cemetery in Globe. Visitation was from 5 to 8 pm Friday, May 3, 2013, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Road.
