3/20/14 — Barbara Sue Davis Underwood, 69, of Olive Hill, passed away Tuesday morning, March 18, 2014, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
She was born April 23, 1944, in Mt. Sterling, a daughter of the late Wesley Duke Davis and Lena Rivers Brown Davis.
Sue was a Wesleyan Minister’s wife for 37 years. She was also an employee of Northeast Head Start. She enjoyed standing behind her husband, supporting his ministry, and spending time with her family and friends
Sue is survived by her husband of 52.6 years, Robert Allen Underwood; one daughter and son-in-law, Debra Allen and Stuart Spalink of Danville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Darrel Lee Underwood of Florence and Marshall Dean and Sheila Ann Underwood of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Hank May of Lexington; and one brother and sister-in-law, Wesley Duke Jr. and Louanne Davis of Nicholasville. She also leaves many other family members, church family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, at the Garvin Ridge Wesleyan Church with Brother J. C. Bond officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens in Paris.
Friends may visit from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014, and after 9 a.m. Friday at the Garvin Ridge Wesleyan Church, 2632 State Highway 2078, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Debra Allen Spalink, Darrel Lee Underwood, Marshall Dean Underwood, Wesley Duke Davis, Curtis Lee Underwood and Casey Todd Underwood will serve as pallbearers.
