3/06/14 — Barbara Ann Carver Small, 64, of Olive Hill, passed away Tuesday morning, March 4, 2014, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
She was born Nov. 4, 1949, in Slagle, W.Va., a daughter of Earl "Cat" and Nancy Ann Johnson Carver.
Barbara was a homemaker and enjoyed painting, traveling, doing yard work, working in her flowers, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jeff Carver, Earl Carver Jr. and Wayne Carver, and one sister, Joann Carver.
Barbara is survived by four sons, Timothy Small of Olive Hill, Justin Small of Bangor, Mich., Joe Small of South Haven, Mich., and Matthew Small of Bangor, Mich.; four grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Roy and Rebecca Carver of Olive Hill and John Allen Carver of Olive Hill; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Virgie and Monroe Burton of Olive Hill, Bonnie Carver of Olive Hill and Betty Jean and Kevin Gullett of Leavenworth, Kan.; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Bud Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Carver Family Cemetery on Stafford Hill in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, and until the service hour Saturday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
