01/13/14 — Renita Sherri Jeffers, 49, of Urbana, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at her residence after a short battle with cancer.
She was born on March 25, 1964, in Ashland, to Juanita (Miles) Holbrook and the late A. J. Cassidy. She was married in Catlettsburg to Scott Jeffers on Jan. 10, 1994.
She was employed at ODW Logistics in Urbana, Ohio. She enjoyed crafting, making beaded jewelry and painting pottery.
Renita is survived by her loving husband, Scott; one daughter, Chasity and her husband Brian Thomas of Sandy Hook; and one son, Mitchell Jeffers of Urbana, Ohio. She is also survived by her mother, Juanita Holbrook of Houston, Texas, and sister, Beth and her husband Matthew Smith of Galveston, Texas. She leaves behind several aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews, as well as her dearly loved German shepherd, “Gizmo,” and cat, “Whiskers.”
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, in the Walter & Smith Funeral Home in Urbana and again on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2014, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Grace Baptist Church, 960 Children’s Home Road, Urbana, where the services will be at 11 a.m. with Pastor Michael Bird officiating.
